It is free of synthesised surfactants and other skin irritating chemicals such as preservatives, alcohol, synthetic fragrances and colours. It has also been modified to suit the natural pH of baby’s skin to prevent irritation.
Why do you need to take special care of your baby’s skin?
It is often incorrectly assumed that a baby’s skin is naturally supple and full of moisture, therefore it doesn’t really need any special care. However, the fact is a baby’s young skin is half the thickness of adults’ skin (about 1mm), and so it has lower level of inherently protective moisture and sebum.
When the baby skin loses its necessary sebum, due to the effect of certain external stimulation such as chemicals contained in common soap used for daily baby care, then their skin will become susceptible to allergies or irritation.
Therefore, in order to develop a healthy skin that is not affected by external stimulation, the daily skin care treatment requires using a baby lotion with zero or low irritation ingredients. This is so essential to their healthy growth.

When do you need to care for your baby’s skin?
Usually, around the age of 3 months old, a baby’s skin will change from oily to dry skin, but it also depends on the dry atmosphere or the season of the year, such as winter when the baby’s skin can easily become drier. Therefore special attention is important for babies from 2 to 4 months old.
In addition, it is also thought that a newly-born to 2-month old baby’s skin contains a lot of sebum, however, the fact the sebum is usually seen on their forehead only, other areas particularly their cheeks and tummy are usually dry. Mothers should be aware of this.
